Pray for what???

I can't believe I'm posting this. Zach will be mortified one day when he knows.

Please pray for Zach to be able to go. You know... poop. He still hasn't been able to go since surgery. 5 days ago. Enough to make anyone miserable. Pain meds don't help the situation but they are necessary.

We had a great morning yesterday and then they took out his middle chest tube and pacing wires. He slept finally for a few minutes and then woke up in excruciating pain. It is so hard to see your child like that and not be able to do anything about it.

We are hoping for a better day --- for him to feel like getting up to play. That will be the best medicine of all.

  1. I'm glad that Zach continues to chug along in his recovery. Don't feel bad about asking for prayers for #2. I think we've all been there. Logan too was backed up following surgery and the pain meds definitely don't help. They do however turn into new little guys once they do go. Praying it happens soon or Zach!

  2. Praying that our Flint Lockwood AKA Zach has a good Saturday. Be good and take your medicines can't wait see you. No prayers are ever too small.

  3. Aww.. poor guy! Glad to hear he is down one chest tube though. I'm sure that makes him a little more comfortable. My daughter also gets backed up from the pain meds, every time, without fail. Praying Mr. Zach has some "#2" action soon and his recovery continues smoothly and swiftly.

  5. That's rough! Derrick had that problem last time too, and after some relief....he was a whole new boy! Praying for poopie! :)

I'm glad the middle chest tube is gone. That has to feel so much better. Those things look SO painful!

I may have missed this in an update, but was Zach able to bypass the chylothorax?

Big heart hugs and lots of prayers,
    Shannon

  6. No such luck on dodging that bullet (the Chylothorax). He's got it. Fat-free and 4 years old don't really go together very well.
