Love and Marriage...

Zach is always very observant and curious. I had a cute conversation with him in the car the other morning.

I had just dropped a card in the mail to a couple that we know that got married about 3 months ago and I was just getting around to sending them a wedding gift. Slack, I know... Anyway, here's how the conversation went...

Zach: Why they get married?
Me: Because they fell in love.
Zach: I know you and Daddy got married.
Me: Yes, we did. We met and went out on a date and went out on some more dates and fell in love.
Zach: But where was Bec-Bec? (big sister)
Me: She wasn't born yet. She was just a sparkle in Mommy and Daddy's eyes. You weren't born yet, either. You were a sparkle in Mommy and Daddy's eyes, too.
Zach: Yeah, and I said to Bec-Bec, 'When we get born, we gonna be sparkly!'

They kinda make me feel all "sparkly"!

14 amazing years...

It was 14 years ago today that I walked down the aisle and said "I do" to the love of my life!

I am so incredibly blessed to be Bill's wife.

He is one of the kindest, most humble people I know and I have learned so much from him about living life.

It was his incredible witness that led me to the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He has taught me how to show mercy and grace and love.

He has shown me how to how to trust God for His provision.

He has held me up during hard times and danced with me during carefree times.

He loves me despite all my quirks and flaws and hormones.

He is a dedicated husband and father.

He is a gift from God.
